When I get better (or less lazy) with the whole putting pictures thing on this blog, I'll post some pictures of the beautiful trees here in upstate, NY. I was walking my little reds to the end of the driveway to wait for the bus this morning and we were marveling at how gorgeous it was when the sun hit the tops of the changing trees--the golds, reds, and oranges just seem to sparkle.
Yesterday I had a yoga breakthrough. I decided to REALLY focus on my breath during the class. I would imagine being on the beach listening to the surf. Water going out (inhale) water coming in (exhale.) I decided that I would not, even one time, look at my watch to see how much longer the torture was going to endure. If I couldn't do the pose being done, I would just do the best I could. It was all about the focus and intention.
And I'll be darned if it didn't work! The class seemed to go by quicker than other classes have and I felt much more relaxed at the end of the class. I think there is something meditative about yoga (duh--I can be a slow learner.)
We'll see how I do today.
Peace,
